Ol Pejeta Conservancy Day Trip from Nairobi Experience Kenya's Premier Wildlife Conservancy in Just One Day Discover one of Africa's leading wildlife conservation destinations on our Ol Pejeta Conservancy Day Trip from Nairobi. Located in the foothills of Mount Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancy is internationally recognized for protecting endangered species, offering exceptional wildlife viewing, and housing the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. This full-day safari is perfect for travelers staying in Nairobi who want to experience a premium Kenya safari without spending multiple days away. You'll enjoy exciting game drives, visit the famous Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, search for the Big Five, and learn about world-class conservation efforts that make Ol Pejeta one of Kenya's most remarkable safari destinations. With Divine Travel Nest Safaris, you'll travel in a comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser with an experienced professional guide dedicated to making your safari unforgettable.
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). You will travel north through Kenya's fertile highlands, passing coffee, pineapple, and tea plantations while your guide shares insights into Kenya's landscapes, history, and wildlife. There will be a brief stop for refreshments and photos along the way.
Upon arrival, enter the conservancy to begin your morning game drive through various wildlife habitats. A major highlight is visiting the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary—established with the Jane Goodall Institute and the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees—to learn about their rescue, rehabilitation, and protection. You will also experience Ol Pejeta's renowned rhino conservation, observing Black, Southern White, and the world’s last Northern White rhinos while learning about anti-poaching and breeding programs. Throughout the morning, you will search for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) in this high-density wildlife area.
Enjoy an optional lunch at the renowned Sweetwaters Serena Camp. You can relax and watch animals gather at a busy, nearby waterhole while enjoying a meal inside the lodge. This lunch can be arranged at an additional cost unless it is already included in your package.
After lunch, continue exploring different areas of the conservancy. Keep an eye out for sightings of Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes, hyenas, jackals, elands, warthogs, impalas, waterbucks, and ostriches. Bird enthusiasts can also look out for crowned cranes, martial eagles, secretary birds, and other species.
Depart Ol Pejeta Conservancy and begin your journey back to the capital. You will arrive in Nairobi between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, depending on traffic, followed by a direct drop-off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
