The early morning is one of the best periods for wildlife viewing because predators are often active before temperatures rise. Your experienced safari guide will follow wildlife activity and select the best areas to explore. The Masai Mara is particularly renowned for its large predator population. You may encounter lions resting after a hunt, cheetahs scanning the plains, elephants moving through the grasslands and, with patience and luck, elusive leopards. Big Five Safari The reserve is home to the Big Five: Lion Leopard Elephant Buffalo Rhino Rhinos are more difficult to locate than the other four, but your guide will use local knowledge and recent wildlife information to maximize your chances.
