This 4-day Safari starts and ends in Kampala, Uganda’s capital. Explore Kibale National Park, known for chimpanzee tracking and diverse primate species like colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Then, journey to Bwindi National Park in Southwest Uganda, home to endangered Mountain Gorillas. With over 350 individuals, Bwindi hosts more than half of the world’s population. Day 1 - Kampala - Kibale National Park
  • Our guide/driver will pick you up from Kampala from the hotel after your breakfast. You will have briefing from him and later depart driving to the west for Kibale National Park. Along the way you will have awesome and spectacular views of the Rwenzori ranges and the countryside of the area, have a stopover for lunch. On arrival in kibale, check in at your lodge, and in the afternoon have a walk in Bigodi wetlands where you will be able to see various birds, also those endemic to the Albertine area. Later, have dinner and overnight.

  • Enjoy an early morning breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on Chimpanzee tracking. By 8:00 am, embark on your search for these fascinating primates in the forest. Meeting chimpanzees is a remarkable experience, offering the chance to capture photographs of these creatures, sharing 98% of DNA with humans. Encounter various other primates such as L’Hoest’s monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, white and black colobus, and red-tailed monkeys. Keep an eye out for birds like the green-breasted pitta and rumped tinker bird, as well as diverse plant species. After lunch, return to the lodge, pack your bags, and depart for Bwindi in the afternoon. Arrive late in the afternoon, check-in at the lodge, and unwind for the evening.

  • Start your day early with breakfast and pack your lunch. Your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters, where you’ll receive a briefing from the Park rangers at 8:00 am regarding park rules and guidelines for encountering gorillas. Gorilla tracking can take between 2 and 8 hours. Set off on your tracking adventure equipped with enough drinking water, sturdy shoes, a jacket, and a walking stick. When you encounter the gorillas, it’s a dream come true as you observe playful juveniles, majestic silverbacks, and other gentle giants caring for their young. Capture unforgettable moments with your camera (flash off). Later, return to your lodge to rest. In the evening, unwind at the lodge or opt for an evening walk through the Batwa community. Immerse yourself in their culture, witness traditional dances and songs, and learn about their way of life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
